The UJMT Consortium is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 class for the Fogarty Global Health Fellowship Program.

The UJMT Consortium is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 class for the Fogarty Global Health Fellowship Program.

The UJMT Consortium supports mentored research training in global health for doctoral and postdoctoral candidates. Successful applicants spend 12 months abroad at one of our approved sites, where they gain experience conducting research in international settings. The fellowship covers costs for research funding, stipend, travel, and health insurance (including evacuation insurance).

We work with established research institutions in the following countries: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Thailand, India, Nicaragua, and Peru. U.S. citizens and nationals of the 13 participating countries are eligible to apply.

Established in 2012, our consortium comprises four U.S. universities - the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, John Hopkins University, Morehouse School of Medicine and Tulane University - as well as their affiliated institutions abroad.The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 15, 2018.
