UNC's ASAM Waiver Training Course - Tuesday, Nov 6th

UNC Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers can take an active role in fighting the Opioid Epidemic. UNC ECHO for MAT is partnering with ASAM to provide a training course that covers evidence-based practices and medications for treatment of Opioid Use Disorder. This Half-Half course offers a 4 hour, self-paced online component combined with a 4 hour, in person training located at UNC. After completing the 8 hours of training, physicians will be able to apply for a DEA waiver to prescribe buprenorphine (APPs will need an additional 16 hours of training).
