Outpatient Clinics open normally today; Closed on Friday, Sept. 14

  • Thursday, Sept. 13: Clinics open normal schedules.

  • Friday, Sept. 14: All UNC Hospitals and Faculty Physicians clinics and clinics at the Hillsborough Campus will be closed.

Ensure you are prepared

  • Keep cell phones and pagers charged

  • Register for SmartNotice. An email invitation to enroll in the emergency alert system SmartNotice was sent on the afternoon of Sept. 12. Look for an email from noreply@onsolve.com. Learn more here.

  • Review:

  • Check on your neighbors, family and friends who may have difficulty during severe weather incidents

  • Review the file at this link to ensure you are prepared in case of an Epic@UNC downtime. Specifically, make sure you know how to access downtime resources (online and on paper) and your BCA PC and/or BCAWeb.

Closures and Cancellations

  • The University has cancelled classes as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, through Sunday, Sept. 16.

    • Please continue to reserve the Dogwood Parking Deck for patients and visitors.

    • Badge access may be required to access School of Medicine buildings.

    • Campus services (including the Beach Cafe) will be reduced or closed on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 13 – 14.

  • Epic@UNC Training has been cancelled starting Thursday, Sept. 13, through Monday, Sept. 17.

Parking and Transportation

  • Wednesday Sept. 12: Parking regulations will be in effect until 5:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, Sept. 13 and Friday, Sept. 14: Parking regulations will be suspended. Gates will be raised in the Jackson deck and Cardinal deck.

  • The S11 lots along Skipper Bowles Drive and the Jackson deck will be available to commuters impacted by disrupted transit operations.

  • The Dogwood Deck is expressly reserved for hospital patients and visitors ONLY.
    Valet Services will operate on a normal schedule Thursday.

  • Point-to-Point (P2P): All P2P Operations will be suspended on Thursday, Sept. 13 and remain closed until conditions improve.

  • PASS Cart Services: PASS Cart operations will be suspended on Thursday, Sept. 13 remain closed until conditions improve.
