Title of Talk: Wound of Racism: Physician Heal Thyself

Speaker Bio: Renuka Gupta MD, FHM, FACP is an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York-Presbyterian–Weill Cornell Hospital. She completed medical school in India, where she also served as a captain in the army. She helps colleagues of all disciplines deal with emotionally charged workplace issues and was honored with the Physician Partner award in October 2018. She has contributed for several years to UptoDate, and her recent perspective in Annals of Internal Medicine, titled “Slaves,” has generated widespread discussion of discrimination and racism in medicine.
