Do you have an idea you would like to implement at UNC? Are you uncertain about how to move your idea forward?

Making the Case is a highly interactive program designed to help faculty transform an idea into a compelling proposal.

Offered by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, in partnership with the Finance and Business Operations team, and the Kenan Flagler Business School, participants of the program develop the skills necessary to build a financial proposal and pitch to key stakeholders.

Over the course of three sessions, participants will develop or refine their idea, identify key stakeholders, receive coaching from leaders across the institution, and practice pitching their idea in a low-stakes environment. Participants must be able to attend all three sessions.

Session 1: January 30, 2020 – 8:30-10:30AM
Session 2: February 6, 2020 – 8:30-10:30AM
Session 3: February 13, 2020 – 8:30-11:30AM

Ideal participants will be School of Medicine faculty with an idea they would like to implement at UNC. Examples might include starting a new academic program, implementing a clinical redesign effort, or launching a new division. No funding will be awarded as part of this program; entrepreneurial endeavors would not be an appropriate fit for this program.
