Best of ASH 2018: AML/MDS and Myeloma

 

Lecture Description

Each year, the American Society of Hematology (ASH) hosts a conference highlighting some of the latest hematologic oncology research. Join us as our speakers highlight some of the top presentations on AML/MDS and Myeloma from this year’s ASH conference.

Lecture Objectives:
  • Compare the outcomes of previously untreated patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who are treated with ibrutinib versus those treated with chemo-therapy
  • Describe which patients with myelodysplastic syndromes may benefit from treatment with luspatercept
  • Select appropriate patients with myelodysplastic syndromes for iron chelation with deferasirox, and understand which adverse outcomes may be prevented by using this agent.
