Business of health care topics include, but are not limited to: translational research and entrepreneurship, risk management & changing payment models, competitive dynamics, delivery of care, technology and health care informatics and individual decision making. Participants will include, but are not limited to, individuals from the business school, medical school, school of global public health, nursing school, pharmacy school, and the college of arts and sciences, as well as health sciences-focused centers, such as the Sheps Center and NC TraCS Institute. The day will be structured with short, research presentations followed by breaks for participants to meet and discuss. Over lunch we will hold a discussion with Brad Wilson, former President and CEO of BCBSNC that will focus on building an interdisciplinary community at UNC-Chapel Hill to solve today’s biggest challenges in the business of health. Finally, the day will conclude with a happy hour and time for participants to continue their conversations from the day.

Whether you are an active researcher, someone who would like to conduct research, or a clinician with a setting that could be studied, all are invited.
