In this new episode from the Chair's Corner, Hans Herfarth, MD, PhD talks with Dr. Ron Falk about biosimilars. Dr. Herfarth describes the differences of biosimilars and biologic drugs, as well as safety issues when switching from an original drug to a biosimilar. Dr. Herfarth is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and co-directs the UNC Multidisciplinary Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research and Treatment.
