Inaugural Thomas M. Carsey Graduate Student Symposium

Join the Odum Institute and the University Libraries’ Research Hub in recognizing outstanding graduate research in the social sciences.

Participants will present their posters to a panel of judges and symposium attendees. Judges will pick one winner, who will receive two tickets to the Odum Institute 95th Anniversary Gala in October and may pick from one of the following:

  • A 2-day Data Matters 2020 course ($110 value)
  • A 2-day course at the Qualitative Research Summer Intensive in July 2020 ($600 value)
  • A $500 ResearchTalk gift certificate for a fall/spring ResearchTalk course

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
We invite all UNC-Chapel Hill Master’s and PhD students conducting research in the social sciences to apply by submitting your abstract to: http://go.unc.edu/CarseySymposium 

Deadline for Applications is August 13.
Accepted applicants submit their posters by September 10.
Participants will present their posters on September 27, 2019, from 4 - 6 PM in the Davis Library Research Hub.
