Beck Dallaghan named 2019 president-elect and 2020 president of the Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education

Gary L. Beck Dallaghan, PhD, Director of Educational Scholarship for the UNC School of Medicine and Research Associate Professor of Pediatrics, has been elected 2019 president-elect and 2020 president of the Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education. Beck Dallaghan has served as the treasurer for the organization over the past four years.

Gary L. Beck Dallaghan, PhD, Director of Educational Scholarship for the School of Medicine and Research Associate Professor of Pediatrics, has been elected 2019 president-elect and 2020 president of the Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education. Beck Dallaghan has served as the treasurer for the organization over the past four years. 

The Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education is an dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in medical schools. Membership is by institution, with the representative from each medical school primarily holding responsibility for educational research, evaluation, and program development. The Society promotes: (a) research in medical education, (b) collaboration among its members and with other organizations, (c) professional development for its members and (d) the development of research units in medical education.
