UNC School of Medicine seeks Director of Continuing Professional Development and Maintenance of Certification

The Director will provide direction and oversight for the continuing professional development (CPD) and maintenance of certification (MOC) efforts of the School of Medicine. This new position will be supported with 10% FTE by the Dean’s Office and in this capacity will report to the Executive Vice Dean and Chief Education Officer.

The Director will provide direction and oversight for the continuing professional development (CPD) and maintenance of certification (MOC) efforts of the School of Medicine.

The position will interface with key SOM stakeholders (such as the Dean’s office, department Chairs, and Center directors) to determine the continuing education needs of the School and explore ways that CPD and MOC can assist in meeting those needs.  

The position will supervise and support the CPD and MOC coordinators in carrying out their responsibilities and serve as a faculty advocate for CPD and MOC.

The position will be responsible, with the CPD administrative team, of ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, Stark law, and other regulatory activities related to continuing education.
