November 4, 2019: 4PM at Carolina Club – Hettleman Talks

Attend these TEDX-style presentations from the four winners of the annual Philip and Ruth Hettleman Prizes for Artistic and Scholarly Achievement which are given to researchers conducting innovative work in their fields. The talks will feature our own Dr. Li Qian and Dr. Greg Wang.

November 8, 2019: 3-5pm in Glaxo Research Building Room 008 – CryoEM Open House

Meet Dr. Joshua Strauss, the Director of the new cryoEM facility at UNC, visit the Talos Actica machine, and learn about the cryoEM consortium between UNC, Duke, and NIEHS. Light refreshments will be served. More information about the cryoEM core facility can be found here.

November 4-8, 2019: Bondurant Hall Lobby“Art in Science” Display

In celebration of University Research Week, the School of Medicine solicited innovative scientific images that showcase the outstanding biomedical research in the School and the beauty that is reflected in the science. Visit the Bondurant Hall lobby to view the winners of this competition!
