The Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care will host an interactive mini-symposium showcasing three Precision Health initiatives at UNC.


Join the UNC Program for Precision Medicine in Healthcare (PPMH) for Precision Health @UNC, a virtual mini-symposium on August 12 from 1:30 to 3:00pm. At these interactive events, you will engage in discussion with leading Precision Medicine researchers at UNC. August 12 presenters include Rick Stouffer MD, Amber Cipriani, PharmD, Billy Kim MD and Jason Merker MD/PhD.

  • Rick Stouffer MD, Ernest and Hazel Craige Distinguished Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, from the McAllister Heart Institute will share recent research findings in “CYP2C19-Genotype-Guided Antiplatelet Therapy after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.”
  • Amber Cipriani, PharmD is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapy. She will present on the topic of “A Path Toward Implementation of Preemptive Pharmacogenomics.”
  • Billy Kim MD, a Rush S. Dickson Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Jason Merker MD/PhD, Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine & Genetics from the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center will present on Precision Oncology efforts at Lineberger.

These dynamic discussion forums will explore the breadth of Precision Health initiatives at UNC and allow you to make connections with colleagues with similar research interests. We hope to see you there!
