The event, sponsored by the Association of Professional Women in Medical Sciences (APWIMS) and the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 12-1PM – location: Bondurant G100.

The panel will engage women faculty in discussions of the challenges of balancing life events –childbirth, child-rearing, illness, caregiving, elder care – with balancing positive a career trajectory. The panel will be moderated by the APWIMS President, Wanda Nicholson, MD, MPH, MBA, and the panelists are: Michelle Floris-Moore, MD, MS (Medicine), Amy Gladfelter, PhD (Biology), Joanne M. Jordan, MD, MPH (Medicine), Mary Kimmel, MD (Psychiatry), and Christina Shenvi, MD, PhD (Emergency Medicine).

The event will begin at 12PM with introductions, and there will be a panel discussion until 12:40PM. Following the discussion, there will be a Q&A with panelists before closing remarks.
