School of Medicine Faculty, Staff, and Students,

The School of Medicine is committed to creating and supporting a family-friendly environment for its employees and students who have children, including nursing mothers who want to continue lactating after they return from maternity leave.  For this reason, we are implementing a new Policy Statement on Lactation in the Workplace for the UNC School of Medicine.  A copy of that policy statement is available here for your reference.  In addition, I am pleased to inform you that a new lactation room has been made available in Room 310 MacNider Hall.

We hope that these efforts will help to better support our faculty, staff, and students.
