Workshop: The do's and don'ts of research subject recruitment and retention

The NC TraCS Research Recruitment Office (RRO) will host the workshop. You will learn how to be proactive when planning for subject recruitment by learning how to develop a recruitment action plan early in the study start-up process as well as how to handle ongoing studies that are not recruiting well.

You will also learn about budget planning for recruitment activities and how to handle budget negotiations with sponsors. You will hear from an IRB representative who will talk about compliance in advertising as well as strategies for gaining access to potential subject information within the UNC system. Finally, you will hear from a UNC Health Care representative who will talk about where recruitment advertisements/postings should and should not be posted in the hospital and why. We will also discuss new alternative locations for posting advertisements.
