Fifth Annual Integrative and Organ Systems Pharmacology Short Course

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy conducts this course will be held Jan. 4-8, 2010. Registration deadline is Dec. 1, 2009 and only a few spots are left.

This five-day course includes short lectures and hands-on experience with various isolated organs and whole-animal models used to examine drug disposition/pharmacokinetics/action.


  • Includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on laboratory exercises
  • Emphasizes routine rodent procedures (gavage, injections, cannulation), isolated organ systems (liver, kidney, intestine, brain), and neuropharmacology
  • Faculty from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Long Island University, and Wake Forest University
