UNC Lineberger program series to help cancer survivors

Carolina Well, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Survivorship Program, is offering a program for cancer survivors “Cancer Transitions: Moving Beyond Treatment.”

Developed by and in partnership with the Wellness Community and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the program was created to help cancer survivors make the transition from active treatment to post-treatment care.

The sessions, open to 20 participants, will be held on six Tuesdays beginning October 13 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Carolina Pointe II located at 6013 Farrington Road. in Chapel Hill. Program speakers will address key aspects of cancer survivorship: exercise, nutrition, emotional health, quality of life and medical management after cancer treatment ends. Participation is open to all cancer survivors, regardless of where they received their treatment.
