OIS Launches HeelStream Streaming Media Service

On September 21, 2015, the Office of Information Systems released HeelStream, an online streaming media delivery service. Think of it as YouTube for the School of Medicine! HeelStream provides an easy way for you to manage and deliver your videos and digital media content that you want to share with others.

With HeelStream, you’ll be able to:

  • Share your videos and playlists online by embedding them onto your web pages, or emailing direct links
  • Upload, manage, publish, and secure your own content
  • Advertise or promote your department
  • Create video playlists of instructional media for students to review, which is especially helpful in today’s classroom environment

With HeelStream, you can show your content publicly or restrict access to small groups if needed. Plus, all content is encrypted while streaming.

HeelStream is also very flexible and can accept multiple file formats and original file sizes as large as 20 GB!
