Citrix Upgrade: Tuesday, Feb. 6

In preparation for the upcoming UNC Health Care Citrix upgrade, older versions of Citrix on School of Medicine computers will need to be upgraded. This upgrade is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 10 p.m.

A new portal called ‘MyApps’ is now available to provide faster and more secure remote access to UNC Health Care applications via Citrix. In order to access the new portal, the version of Citrix will need to be upgraded on your computer.

Action Required

When you leave work on Tuesday, Feb. 6, users should log out of their computer but leave it on.  This will allow the upgrade to run automatically after business hours.  If your computer is off at the scheduled upgrade time, the upgrade will run in the morning when you boot up your computer.

We recommend that School of Medicine clients connect to their Hospital systems using the new MyApps portal at https://myapps.unch.unc.edu in your preferred web browser.

Personally owned computers will need to be manually configured to the new myapps.unch.unc.edu server using instructions found here MyApps - Setup Guide (UNC HCS credentials required).
