ITS plans to permanently remove the wireless access channel known as UNC-Guest from the UNC campus network on Wednesday, November 29. It is being replaced by a more robust and more secure access channel labeled as UNC-Guest-PSK. Read more for information on how to connect to UNC-Guest-PSK.

For guests of the University needing wireless internet access, there is currently a wireless network known as UNC-Guest available in select School of Medicine buildings. On Wednesday, November 29, ITS plans to permanently remove UNC-Guest from the UNC campus network and replace with a more robust and more secure access channel labeled as UNC-Guest-PSK.

To access the UNC-Guest-PSK wireless network, select it from your available wireless networks and enter the password found at https://help.unc.edu/help/unc-guest-psk-ssid. Please note that this password is protected by Onyen login and changes twice a year.

Also note that the primary wireless network eduroam will not be affected by this change.
