When Lorrie Stewart lost her daughter, Taylor, to leukemia in 2012, she resolved to fulfill Taylor's final wishes: care for the animals and the children. Through the Taylor Stewart "Don't Stop Believing" Project, Lorrie collects donations year-round, delivering gifts and goodies to UNC Children's patients and helping homeless pets through a local animal advocacy group.

Lorrie's efforts in honoring Taylor's memory are chronicled in this story in Lorrie's hometown newspaper.
