On Feb. 2, Marty Ferguson will join UNC Health Care as System Vice President for Supply Chain.

In this role, Marty will oversee system-wide strategic planning and development for supply chain functions, which includes purchasing and materials management. He also will be responsible for the implementation of a centralized system for warehouse logistics and billing, and a materials management information system. Marty will report to Chris Ellington and be based out of the Shared Services Center in Morrisville.

Marty comes to us from PriceWaterhouseCooper’s Supply Chain group in Atlanta where he was a member of the Health care executive team and was responsible for implementation after sales, project management and oversight, operational improvements, system consolidation and business development strategy for health care systems in the United States. He has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain operations.
