The objective of this training is mental preparation. Active Shooter Response Training encourages healthcare employees to have a survival mindset for such an incident. The “four-A” approach will be introduced and explained to better illustrate employee response during and prior to an active shooter situation. Additionally, the “Shots Fired” video raises awareness of behaviors that represent pre-incident indicators and characteristics of active shooters. The training ends with a brief Q&A session.

Classes will be held at the Hedrick Building (Aug. 31, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Oct. 18, 8 a.m.) and the Hillsborough Campus (Oct. 11, 8:30 a.m). Please log in to LMS to sign up.
