UNC Lineberger’s Claire Dees, MD, is one of the country’s top 27 breast oncologists, according to Forbes magazine.
Forbes based its list on data generated by Grand Rounds, a company that uses computer modeling to assess a range of publicly available and proprietary data, including administrative claims data from insurers, practice affiliations, board certifications, disciplinary actions, and academic publications.
A clinician-scientist, Dees both cares for breast cancer patients and conducts research. She is the founding chair of the Developmental Therapeutics (Phase I trials) Working Group at UNC, and co-leader of UNC Lineberger’s Clinical Research Program.
