On Wednesday, May 16, Dr. Bill Roper announced that Lisa Schiller was appointed Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) for the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care, effective immediately.
Lisa’s career at UNC Health Care spans more than 12 years, most recently as system vice president for communications and marketing. She started at UNC REX Healthcare in 2006 as director of marketing, communications, community relations and government affairs until a promotion in 2008 to vice president of the same area. Her experience in strategic communication and marketing makes her well-suited for this position.
As CCMO, Lisa will lead a strategic, dynamic communications and marketing organization that includes UNC Medical Center, UNC Faculty Physicians, UNC REX Healthcare, UNC Physicians Network, High Point Regional, UNC Chatham Hospital, Caldwell Memorial, Pardee Hospital, Johnston Health, Nash Health Care, Wayne UNC Health Care, UNC Lenoir Health Care, and UNC Rockingham Health Care. The CCMO serves as a key member of the senior executive team and advisor in communications, management and strategy.
Lisa currently serves on the board of the American Hospital Association Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. In 2014, she won that organization’s highest honor, the Award for Individual Professional Excellence. She also serves on the board of the Holt Brothers Foundation.
Please join me in congratulating Lisa on her new role.
