The Code Sepsis team is very grateful to the following ‘Sepsis Stars’ that strive to improve patient care through their participation in the sepsis initiative. The sepsis initiative is working to improve timely recognition of potential sepsis and implement the entire care bundle including a lactic acid, blood cultures, IV antibiotics, and IV fluids. This week, the Code Sepsis Team is happy to recognize Tara McCoy, Liz Tallum, Ben Stille for excellent triage and teamwork when they applied appropriate sepsis treatment for an ED septic shock patient.
