The UNC School of Medicine is seeking an educator with passion for medical student education and curriculum design who has an understanding of what fourth-year medical students need in the last several months to prepare for residency. The co-director will work closely with the other Transition to Residency co-director and staff to refine the curriculum of the four-week long Transitions to Residency (TTR) course.
Transition to Residency (TTR, formerly Capstone) course co-director (10% support up to NIH Cap)
The UNC School of Medicine is seeking an educator with passion for medical student education and curriculum design who has an understanding of what fourth-year medical students need in the last several months to prepare for residency. The co-director will work closely with the other Transition to Residency co-director and staff to refine the curriculum of the four-week long Transitions to Residency (TTR) course.
Specifically, the co-director will:
- Work closely with the other TTR co-director and staff on logistic planning to implement a coordinated and effective TTR course
- Work closely with the staff of the simulation center on the simulation portion of the TTR course
- Work closely with the boot camp leaders on the one week bootcamps that take place during the TTR course
- Teach in the TTR course as needed
- Attend monthly Individualization Phase meeting and regular course planning meetings
The co-director should have flexibility in his or her clinical schedule during the TTR block (March 4-March 29 2019)
