Announcing the inaugural season of the Parkinson’s Players — a voice, movement and theater-based program for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Join us for the inaugural season of the Parkinson’s Players, presented free of cost with support from the Parkinson’s Foundation. Weekly rehearsals will include vocal and movement warm-ups, improvisation games, and acting techniques aimed at improving effective communication.
Culminating performances made possible, in part, by the generosity of the Orange County Department on Aging. No acting experience required — just bring an open mind and some comfy clothes.
Please register by Feb. 1, 2019, by emailing PDPlayers@unchealth.unc.edu or calling 984-974-2107.
Rehearsals are on Thursday from 6 – 7:30 p.m. from Feb. 28 – April 18, with performances on April 27 at 2 p.m. and April 28 at 5 p.m.
This program is presented free of charge by a community grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation.
