In addition to providing the organization with more structure and support, Dr. Nicholson is “honored to have this opportunity to lead APWIMS in its mission to facilitate networking and career development among women in the School of Medicine”.

As the newly appointed Vice President, Dr. Ramos is “excited with the opportunity to bring together so many women devoted to medicine and science through events sponsored by APWIMS. Hear and share thought on to better support further development.”

This year, the organization is planning a series of events for women faculty, staff, and learners to engage in discussion and networking around topics, including a panel on career and life transitions, professionalism, and more.
