Meghan E. Rebuli, PhD, a postdoctoral research associate in the Curriculum in Toxicology & Environmental Medicine and the Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma and Lung Biology, has been awarded the 2020 Best Postdoctoral Publication Award by the Society of Toxicology for outstanding work in the field of toxicology.

The Center for Innovation of the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care released the request for proposal for its 2020 $50,000 Innovation Pilot Awards in early November. All UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care employees from any owned entity are eligible to apply. Applications are due Jan. 14, 2020, and as many as four awards of up to $50,000 each will be announced in March 2020.

Proposals were sought from UNC Health Care and School of Medicine faculty and employees for innovations focused on preventing and treating burnout, facilitating efficiency of practice, and promoting a culture of wellness.

Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz held more than 25 listening and learning sessions with constituents across campus as interim chancellor. He was instrumental in shaping Carolina’s new strategic plan, Carolina Next: Innovations for Public Good, which outlines a roadmap for the university’s priorities. And now, in his first week as chancellor, he shared details about a long-term investment that will “help us to study our past, learn from that past, build from that past, and move forward together as a community.”
