The SOM Office of Research is now accepting applications for the April 2020 ECBR COVID-19 Pilot Award Program. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on April 20, 2020.
The SOM Emerging Challenges in Biomedical Research Program provides support for innovative, early stage research relevant to NIH priorities. In light of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus of the current challenge is to catalyze SOM research strengths related to COVID-19 which is leading to tremendous disruptions in society. Projects can include but are not limited to basic science, clinical research, population health research, data science, and epidemiology. Data from the funded projects is expected to facilitate new NIH or other funding as it becomes available.
Eligibility is limited to SOM faculty and importantly, to research activities that have been approved by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.
