Limited Submissions Internal Call for Proposals: 2021 Agilent Early Career Professor Award

External Application Deadline: February 26, 2021
Eligibility: Professor completed Ph.D. (residency in case of M.D.’s or M.D.- Ph.D.’s) not earlier than January 2011. Early-stage faculty may have a variety of titles. To be eligible for this award the nominee should be on your institution’s path toward full professor.
Program Overview : The topic of the 2021 award is “Contributions to the development of breakthrough solutions to understand or manage immunological responses to infection, autoimmunity or cancer”. The purpose of the Agilent Early Career Professor Award is to:
- Promote and encourage excellent research enabling measurements of importance to Agilent Technologies and the world.
- Establish strong collaborative relationships between Agilent researchers and leading professors early in their career.
- Build the prominence of Agilent as a sponsor of university research.
Selection Criteria: The 2021 winner will be selected based on the following selection criteria:
- Significant original research contributions enabling measurements of importance to Agilent Technologies and the world.
- Outstanding potential for future research.
- Professor completed Ph.D. (residency in case of M.D.’s or M.D.- Ph.D.’s) not earlier than January 2011.
- Alignment with the defined award focus for 2021: Contributions to the development of breakthrough solutions to understand or manage immunological responses to infection, autoimmunity or cancer.
To Apply: Submit the following (combined into a SINGLE .pdf) to Limited_Submission@unc.edu by 11:59PM, Monday, January 11, 2021.
- PI/Proposed team member’s CV/Biosketch (five-page maximum)
- Project Summary (two-page maximum)
- List of potential collaborators (internal and external to UNC)
- Names (along with title, department, and email) of three internal (to UNC) experts who could speak knowledgeably about the candidate’s research and who could potentially serve on an internal review panel.
