UNC School of Medicine graduate student Alexis Stutzman, in the lab of Jill Dowen, PhD, assistant professor in the UNC Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, was highlighted in a feature titled “Lighting a Spark” in the January/February 2021 edition of Diversity in Action. UNC Biochmistry & Biophysics alum Michael Johnson, PhD, now an assistant professor of immunology at the University of Arizona, was also featured.
