Kenya McNeal-Trice, MD, Mina Hosseinipour, MD, MPH, and Eileen Burker, PhD, were named recipients of the Distinguished Teaching Awards for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction from UNC-Chapel Hill.


Kenya McNeal-Trice, professor in the UNC Department of Pediatrics, Mina Hosseinipour, MD, MPH, professor in the UNC Department of Medicine, and Eileen Burker, PhD, professor in the UNC Department of Allied Health Sciences, were named recipients of Distinguished Teaching Awards for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction, given annually to acknowledge the UNC-Chapel Hill’s commitment to outstanding teaching and mentoring.

McNeal-Trice is the Director of the Pediatrics Residency Program, Vice Chair of Education in the UNC Department of Pediatrics, Chief Graduate Medical Education Officer/ACGME Designated Institutional Official at UNC Hospitals, and the Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the UNC School of Medicine.

Hosseinipour, a professor in the division of infectious diseases, is the scientific director for the UNC Project-Malawi, and member of the UNC Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases.

Burker is a professor in the division of clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling and an adjunct associate professor in the UNC Department of Psychiatry.
