The program provides seed money of up to $25K for 1 year to initiate new and innovative projects.
These research projects will focus in the areas of phenotyping and precision medicine, enhance work being done in the CCCR, and generate preliminary data needed to develop projects that will successfully compete for extramural support. The UNC CCCR is housed within the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center and is funded by the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Disease (NIAMS).
Please visit our “Current Funding Opportunities” web page, for a helpful overview of the current scientific themes of NIAMS, and to help you determine if your proposal would fit within the scope of this RFA.
