UNC Pharmacology is honored to host the Inaugural Curtis Harper Distinguished Lectureship Celebration to be held on Tuesday, April 6th from 1:30-4:30 pm via Zoom.
Dr. Harper was the 1st African American faculty member to receive tenure in Pharmacology. In addition, he was a member of the Curriculum in Toxicology and conducted toxicology research at UNC.
In memory of Dr. Harper and his impactful reach across the scientific and local NC community, UNC Pharmacology will be hosting 2 seminar speakers during the celebration: Dr. Manu Platt, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University, and Dr. Wayne Bowen, Professor and Chair of Molecular Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biotechnology at Brown University.
