UNC School of Medicine is moving from their on-premise Panopto system to UNC’s new Panopto cloud lecture capture system at the end of the spring semester.
Many of the UNC Panopto benefits include:
- Integration with Zoom and Sakai
- Automatic transcriptions and closed captioning
- Automatic software updates
Students, faculty, and staff will have the same Panopto experience they are familiar with, and all links will be redirected to avoid disruption of content viewing.
Because of our two-year retention policy, which UNC Panopto also has, we will only migrate recordings from the last two academic years (July 2019 – May 2021). Older recordings will be deleted the week of April 5.
