A new study by UNC Department of Emergency Medicine and Orange County researchers concludes that paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and EMT students were all “able to successfully integrate into a community vaccination clinic and administer intramuscular immunizations” in the COVID-19 vaccination effort.

The study, “EMS incorporation in mass-vaccination: A feasibility study,” was published Feb. 26 in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine.
