With the return of pollen in our area, many of us will suffer the effects of seasonal allergies. Allergy symptoms can be similar to the symptoms of COVID-19, and it is sometimes hard to tell the difference.

Symptoms of allergies include sneezing, coughing, sore throat, runny nose or nasal congestion, and itchy, watery eyes.  With allergies, you don’t experience body aches, fever, or loss of sense of taste/smell.  Use the CDC chart to compare the common symptoms of COVID-19 and seasonal allergies so you can tell the difference, and find out more information on their website.

If you do not feel well and/or unsure if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms versus seasonal allergy symptoms, do not come to work and please contact the Occupational Health COVID-19 Hotline at 984-215-5668 if you are unable to pass a wellness screening or have concerns, regardless of whether or not you have been vaccinated.
