Dear Colleagues,

The last year of COVID-19 has shown us time and again that we are all connected. Right now, India is facing an unimaginable and tragic wave of COVID-19 infection. As healthcare providers, we all feel deep sadness and concern for the people of India as they face this crisis.

Many Indian and South Asian faculty, staff, and students have been impacted, experiencing illness and loss within their families. To these outstanding colleagues and friends, please know that our entire School of Medicine community is thinking of you and here to support you in this time.

Please review and take advantage of the mental health and support resources offered through the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health, if you feel that they would be helpful to you.

Thank you for everything you do each day to further our mission to serve the people of North Carolina and the world.

Sincerely,

Cristy
