Providers and leaders at Epic@UNC entities can now review red blood cell transfusion utilization data in the Patient Blood Management Dashboard.
The Patient Blood Management Dashboard displays the number of units ordered and patient hemoglobin level for all adult transfusion orders, which can be filtered by entity, department or provider ID.
Reducing unwarranted red blood cell transfusions is a UNC Health organizational goal for FY22. All providers are encouraged to help the System achieve this goal by reviewing their own transfusion utilization data.
