The UNC-CH Department of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) is seeking a part-time physician in the role of Associate Medical Director to provide occupational medicine and clinical care at the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC).

The UNC-CH Department of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) is seeking a part-time physician in the role of Associate Medical Director to provide occupational medicine and clinical care at the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC). The successful candidate will provide direct care to patients at the UEOHC located at 145 North Medical Drive, NC Area Health Education Center Building.
The Associate Medical Director will work with the Medical Director and the UEOHC team to provide comprehensive occupational health services to UNC-CH employees including the following:
- Pre-Employment Screening/Immunization and Medical Surveillance for Healthcare Workers
- Pre-Employment Screening and Annual Medical Surveillance for Non-Healthcare workers
- First Care for Workers’ Compensation
- Communicable Disease Exposure Care
- Epidemic and Pandemic Response
- Significant Injury Care
The Associate Medical Director is assigned to and will physically work at the UEOHC at least two ½ day clinics per week. The Associate Medical Director’s specific schedule will align with the Medical Director’s to ensure occupational health coverage Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30pm, excluding University holidays. MD or DO is required, previous occupational health or urgent care experience is recommended. This position is supported at the 0.25 FTE level.
