UNC School of Medicine is seeking an energetic and innovative faculty member for the position of Director of Wellness in the Division of Student Affairs. We seek an individual with proven leadership experience capable of working as part of a fast-paced, results-oriented team. This position will work in collaboration with our advisory colleges and campus partners to provide visionary and strategic leadership for an innovative, integrated, and collaborative wellness model for the UNC School of Medicine MD program community. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the Director of Wellness collaborates with campus partners to plan, implement, and evaluate campus community health and wellness strategies, interventions, policies, programs, and services that promote a thriving community.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Serve as a champion and ambassador for wellness
- Create and maintain a culture and environment that supports and promotes the overall wellness of the UNC School of Medicine MD program community
- Work collaboratively with campus partners and community organizations to form strong relationships designed to establish a long-term vision for wellness
- Lead campus referral process that integrates student care connecting UNC School of Medicine Wellness to Student Health Services, Counseling Center, Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention and Education, and other student support services.
