Registration is open for TEAM ADVANCE’s 2021-22 faculty mentoring programs! We invite faculty to register for: Faculty Mentor Training, Women ADVANCE Leadership, and Peer Mentoring Circles.

Targeting Equity in Access to Mentoring (TEAM) ADVANCE invites faculty to register for our 2021-22 programming. Faculty can register easily on our website: https://cfe.unc.edu/team-advance/participate/.
Over 130 faculty from the School of Medicine have participated in our programs! TEAM ADVANCE offers the following programs:
- Faculty Mentor Training to enhance faculty mentoring practices with equitable, intersectionality-informed skills to mentor early-career faculty. Adapted from CIMER’s Entering Mentoring. The Fall 2021 training will be virtual.
- Women ADVANCE Leadership to encourage and support mid-career women faculty seeking to enhance their skills and advance to senior leadership, research, and teaching positions. Fall 2021 sessions will be virtual.
- Peer Mentoring Circles to support early-career faculty professional development within a small, multidisciplinary cohort of peers. Circles follow a semi-structured curriculum, are co-facilitated by two experienced faculty, and are supported with professional development workshops. Circles will have flexibility to meet in person or virtually.
All registration links are on our Interest and Registration page.
TEAM ADVANCE is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF Award 1760187). Now entering our third year of programming, TEAM ADVANCE has reached over 200 faculty from across the University. We promote a culture of active, equitable, and effective mentoring, and our programs are open to all faculty, whether fixed-term or tenure track. Women of color, white women, and underrepresented faculty are especially encouraged to participate.
