The Committee for the Distinguished Medical Alumni Awards is seeking nominations. All submissions are due by October 15, 2021.
Each year nominations from faculty and alumni are accepted for two categories of Distinguished Medical Alumni Awards (DMAA), one Distinguished Service Award (DSA) and one Distinguished Faculty Award (DFA).
The DMAA awards recognize an alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in professional and community leadership and service (Community Category) and the other recognizes exemplary contributions to the medical profession or to humankind of such importance as to merit national and international recognition (National Category).
The DSA award recognizes non-alumni who have contributed significant governmental and/or community leadership to the mission of the Medical School. The DFA recognizes faculty excellence in teaching, contributions to medicine in the state, leadership in continuing education, and accomplishments in improving communications with the people of the state.
