TEAM ADVANCE invites faculty to register for Peer Mentoring Circles. The program promotes professional development and community building for early-career faculty. Mid- and senior career faculty are invited to serve as circles facilitators. Now in its third year, the Peer Mentoring Circles program offers rewarding experiences for both participants and circles facilitators.

Peer Mentoring Circle support professional development and community building for early-career faculty, whether pre-tenure or fixed term. Each circle consists of 4-7 faculty peers, and groupings are made with participants’ interests, needs, and goals in mind. Circles are co-facilitated by two mid- or senior career faculty.
Now in its third year, the Peer Mentoring Circles program has supported over 50 faculty from the School of Medicine. The program offers rewarding experiences for participants and facilitators alike.
What to Expect
- Flexibility for in person or virtual meetings
- Monthly meetings (1.5 hours each) with a circle of 4-7 peers led by 2 facilitators
- Semi-structured curriculum covering early-career development
- Priority invitation to professional development workshops
- News, opportunities, and resources from TEAM ADVANCE
Faculty who serve as circles facilitators can expect a monthly commitment of 2.5 hours (1 circles meeting, 1 group debrief). Facilitators will also receive ongoing guidance, resources, peer debriefs and development, and coordination from TEAM ADVANCE.
