The School of Medicine seeks an innovative, collaborative physician to serve as the Course Director for the required Critical Care selective in Individualization Phase, the final phase of medical student education at UNC.
Successful candidates in this role will have clinical experience in critical care and a strong commitment to educating the next generation of physicians. They will manage and expand access to Critical Care rotations for students, including at sites in multiple hospitals and health systems across the state (including in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Wilmington, and more). They will also maintain the foundational central curriculum in critical care, assign students’ grades, and respond to student feedback. Attendance at monthly Individualization Phase meetings (second Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm) is required.
