Faculty members of the 17 UNC constituent institutions, including UNC-Chapel Hill, are eligible to be nominated for the 2022 Oliver Max Gardner Award. Submissions are due by Feb. 3, 2022.
The University of North Carolina System Board of Governors has invited nominations for the 2022 Oliver Max Gardner Award.
The Gardner Award, first presented in 1949, is given annually to a member of the faculty of the University of North Carolina System, who, during the current scholastic year, has made “the greatest contribution to the welfare of the human race.”
In 2020, Samantha Meltzer-Brody, MD, MPH, Assad Meymandi Distinguished Professor and Chair of the UNC Department of Psychiatry and Director of the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders, was the recipient of the O. Max Gardner Award.
