The UNC Program for Public Discourse and General Alumni Association will host Science and Democracy, an online Abbey Speaker Series event featuring a discussion about the interplay of science and politics. Contributors include Science editor-in-chief and former UNC-Chapel Hill chancellor Holden Thorp ’86 and Luana Maroja, associate professor of biology and chair of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program at Williams College.

The event will take place February 8th at 5:30 p.m., and the discussion will be moderated by Chris Clemens, Jaroslav Folda Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
